Xi'an, located in the northwest of China, is the capital of thirteen ancient dynasties and the starting point of the Silk Road. It is home to world-famous historical sites such as the Emperor Qinshihuang's Terracotta Army, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, and Xi'an City Wall. Xi'an, where antiquity meets modernity, not only carries profound cultural heritage but also exudes vibrant urban charm.Having begun admitting international students in 1979, Xi'an International Studies University (XISU) established the first dedicated institution for teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Northwest China. For more than 40 years, over 20,000 international students from 45 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Germany, France, Italy, Russia, Spain, Belgium, Australia, Canada, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan, have completed their studies in XISU and returned home.
