Program Overview

1. Equal Emphasis on Language and Academics to support the transition to Undergraduate Study

Xi'an International Studies University offers a preparatory program for international students planning to pursue an undergraduate degree in China. The program is designed to systematically improve students' Chinese proficiency and academic foundation, enabling them to meet the admission standards for undergraduate programs at Chinese universities (generally HSK Level 4-5), and to lay a solid linguistic and disciplinary foundation for future undergraduate study.

2. Strengthening Disciplinary Foundations and Intellectual Training

While strengthening Chinese language instruction, the program provides basic courses such as mathematics, English, and General Survey of China, helping students build the logical and disciplinary thinking required for science and engineering, economics and management, and humanities programs, and ensuring a smooth transition to the undergraduate study.

3. Flexible Curriculum and Individualized Training

Based on students' Chinese proficiency and future academic pursuits, the program offers leveled instruction and elective modules. Outstanding students may apply to audit undergraduate courses or attend academic lectures, allowing them to experience Chinese university classrooms in advance and broaden their academic horizons.

4. Equal Emphasis on Cultural Integration and Learning Support

The program emphasizes the integration of language and culture. Through rich Chinese cultural experience courses and exchange activities, it helps students gain an in-depth understanding of Chinese society and contemporary culture, and adapt to the learning model and pace of life at Chinese universities. The university provides preparatory students with comprehensive academic guidance and life services to ensure their learning outcomes and living experience in China.
