Exchange Programs

Xi'an International Studies University (XISU), located in the ancient capital of Xi’an, was the first institution of higher learning in Northwest China to offer Chinese language programs for international students, admitting its first cohort in 1979. Over the years, we have educated more than 20,000 students from 45 countries and regions. Currently, XISU offers a comprehensive range of academic programs spanning from bachelor's to doctoral degrees, as well as non-degree programs including Chinese language courses, short-term exchange programs, and customized courses tailored to the Belt and Road Initiative. Leveraging our strengths in multilingual education, we nurture cross-cultural ambassadors with global perspectives, blending rich historical heritage with modern educational approaches. Application Method and Notes

Please contact the department in charge of exchange programs at your home university to apply. Applicants must obtain a nomination.

Visit http://xisu.chiwest.cn/ to complete the online application. After submitting the application, please check your email regularly and pay attention to the application and admission progress.

Visa Application

Admitted students will receive the Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW202/DQ Form) and the Admission Notice, which are required for applying for a study visa (X1 or X2 visa).

Accommodation

Admitted students will be notified by email to reserve dormitory accommodation online. Please check emails sent by the International Education Center.
