Insurance Purchase Requirements
According to the policy jointly issued by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Public Security in July 2017, international students are required to purchase insurance in accordance with national regulations and university policies. Xi'an International Studies University has specified the following insurance requirements for international students in China:
1. All international students studying in China are required to purchase the “Comprehensive Medical Insurance for Foreigners in China”. Upon registration, students must provide valid proof of insurance (the insurance period must fully cover the duration of their studies).
2. Students who do not purchase the required insurance will not be admitted. Those who are already enrolled and uninsured will be dismissed or will not be permitted to register.
3. Self-funded students and exchange students must purchase insurance within one week before arriving in China. Some scholarship students will have their insurance arranged and purchased by the university.
